The Institute is entrusted with Clinical Research on the management of Skin Disorders through Ayurveda in a scientific manner. Institute strives for excellence in diagnosing, preventing, and managing skin disorders through Ayurveda and planning to conduct Scientific Research Projects on skin disorders in collaboration with different AYUSH Systems, Dept. of Dermatology, etc.
During previous years, this Institute executed clinical research projects on psoriasis, external wounds, eczema, Ayurveda Lifestyle advocacy, Acne, Malaria, Tamakshwasa, Amlapitta, Pradara, Amavata, Medoroga, Mutrashmari, and Menopausal syndrome. The Institute was also engaged in three Public Health Research activities, namely, Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme (AMHCP) under SCSP, the Women and Child Health Care Programme – Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme (AMHCP) under SCSP, and Tribal Health Care Research Project (THCRP)
The Institute is currently working on collaborative studies on psoriasis & malnutrition with Ayurveda colleges in India under the CCRAS SMART scheme. The institute is also implementing a general health screening project with special focus on anaemia, malnutrition, TB and Sickle Cell Diseases in collaboration with ICMR – National Institute on Research on Tribal Health at selected 09 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Gujarat.
